Season 1, Episode 7: October's Issue Now Availble
Summer is winding down and fall is really starting to come into its own, and with it we're proud to present to you the October issue of Bastion Science Fiction Magazine. With the colors turning and the days growing shorter, I'm reminded about the passage of time, a theme that is central to this issue. Eric Del Carlo returns as a veteran to Bastion (his story "Nigh" was published in our May issue) with "Zero's Hour," which you can read for free as this month's feature story.
We have a great selection of stories this month, including:
“Zero's Hour” by Eric Del Carlo
“When the Wind Blows on Tristan da Cunha” by Meryl Stenhouse
“Waterman High Speed Axials” by William R. D. Wood
“Time Enough” by Salena Casha
“Sympathy for the Download” by Matthew Lyons
“In the Space Between” by Jeff Stehman
“Shudder” by Manfred Gabriel
"A Vision of Paradise" by Alvaro Zinos-Amaro
August's issue enjoyed the #1 bestseller status over at Weightless Books and while we don't have the numbers for September yet, we're feeling pretty good. New to the team is Lauren Hinkle, who will be helping to manage our slush pile. We're excited to have her on board and thankful for her talents. If you see any of the Bastion staff on Twitter, Facebook, etc., be sure to thank them for the outstanding job they've done putting this issue together. Our authors sure love to chat with readers and fans as well, so be sure to give them quick 'hello' if you happen to see any about.
